Chessie is a special gem that belongs to the Chesapeake Bay. Chessie is believed to be a water creature much like The Loch Ness Monster. Chessie was sighted in the Bay near Kent Island in the 80's. There is actual video footage of Chessie and she was discussed in a documentary that aired on the Discovery Channel.
We have resurrected the idea of Chessie because we want to increase awareness of the Bay's magic and mystique.
